NETWORK AND PLAN VÍAL The road network is the most extensive of urban
area with approximately 8,300 linear feet, followed by the Rio Negro to 1,730
m., Valencia de la Paz with 950 meters. Rail Infrastructure and Transportation.
The territory of Iquira is crossed by a road network that reaches a total
length of over 300 miles, through which the paths to the different urban
centers and overall municipal population and neighboring territories are
connected. Most of them are way uncovered driveways with widths ranging between
3.5 and 4.5 m, in poor traffic conditions and poor drainage and sub-drainage infrastructure.
The only paved road is a section of the Iquira 6 mile route - Yaguará, it boots
from the county seat and ends on the eastern edge of the village. With the
current road infrastructure, the inhabitants of the regions of Rio Negro and
San Luis prefer to go to the neighboring town of Thessaly; while the population
living in and around Valencia Teruel prefer. This situation of dislocation and
isolation has serious impact on the overall socio-economic development of the
territory for the benefit of their economy are spreading among neighboring
municipalities.
