Physical description:

Iquira Township is located in the western part of the department of Huila on the foothills of the Nevado del Huila volcano. Middle weather: Includes 220 km2 with temperatures between 18 and 20oC. Cold Weather: Includes 254 km2 with temperatures between 10 and 12oC. Paramo Climate: comprises 3 km2 with temperatures below 5 ° C. The average annual precipitation is 1,600 mm., On average Volcanic risk is low.
Limits of the municipality:

It limits the north with the city of Teruel, south to the town of Thessaly on the east with the municipalities of Teruel and Yaguará and west with Nátaga and Cauca.
