COMMUNICATING HERITAGE
Iquira municipality thanks to the hospitality of its people proudly offers locals and visitors a valuable cultural legacy handed down from father to son; cultural wealth is reflected in large part thanks to one of the largest in the country and unique event of its kind: "The Folk Festival and Pageant Bambuco" recently declared cultural heritage of the nation.
In June, the Huilenses we are fortunate to host family and friends residing in other Colombian and foreign regions; them forward in search of a healthy diversion soon become the protagonists of our joy and tradition by participating in events like the slaughter of the pig, the preparation of roast, tamales, finally the great variety of local foods thanks to its smells and unique flavors put aside any type of diet. To laugh a little nothing better than hearing the rajaleñas spicy, dancing to folk and country music bands.
Just as our ancestors said that repeated: "One nail drives another nail" if the media have largely been responsible for the loss of our cultural heritage, they also must be responsible to recover our memory and display the world to be known by young people that will turn your appreciation and enjoyment.
Proudly belonging to Heritage Watchers Ministry of Culture program and in order to make widely known the traditions of Huila during the time of San Juan and San Pedro I present to you a very interesting proposal of applying technology media audiovisual supported on the Internet.
